Yomego snares Wunderman social strategy lead Neil Major

Yomego has appointed Neil Major, former social strategy lead at Wunderman as its strategy director.

Based within the agency's London operation, Major will be tasked with steering it's strategic direction, working its clients such as Tesco, Eaglemoss, British Airways and The O2 among others.

He will also offer input into the social media strategy of Communisis, the parent company of Yomego.

Steve Richards, MD at Yomego, said of Major: “He’s worked at some of the biggest agencies in the business, and with an impressive roll call of clients. His strategic thinking really impressed, and he’s a great asset to the agency as we continue to grow in both Glasgow and London.”

Major described the role as "a fantastic opportunity" and added the Yomego had some "exciting developments in the pipeline around social CRM and quantifying the value of social.”

Major joined Wunderman in 2011 having previously worked at Vexed Digital, Text100, Edelman and Cake.

Research carried out by Major will appear in the latest social supplement accompanying the latest edition of The Drum - out Friday (1 March).
