According to a report from the Verge, Google has confirmed that a “polished version” of Google Glass will be for sale by the end of 2013, and for “less than $1,500.”

This is the first definitive piece of information Google has released on the Google Glass project, with previous unconfirmed reports varying in information on both when it would be released and how much it would cost the consumer.

The confirmation of an end-of-year release comes as Google unveiled a new video on Wednesday 20 February for the wearable headset, which gave substantially more detail about its functionality and a more accurate depiction of how it will actually look. So far the video has attracted more than 10.2 million views.
