BinWeevils.com, the children’s social media site, has announced it is to partner with Sony Music on the launch of a new album.

‘Bin tunes’ is set for release on 1 April and will feature lyrics penned by kids as well as popular characters from the platform.

BinWeevils.com currently receives 2m unique visitors per month, predominantly from children in the 6-12 age group, with over 20m kids having registered with the platform since launch.

Amelia Johnson, co-founder, BinWeevils.com says: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with music giant Sony Music to create an album which reflects the spirit of BinWeevils.com, by inviting kids to contribute so substantially to its content.”

Phil Savill, Director of Sony CMG Marketing adds “We have engaged with BinWeevils.com fans right from the start of the project by inviting them to join a competition to write their own lyrics for the album. We have received an astonishing number of entries to the competition, proving both that music plays a very important part in the lives of the young and that they are clearly fanatical about BinWeevils.com.”
