Drug developer Pfizer has announced the appointment of Leo Burnett Worldwide to market its latest launch, a heartburn treatment which has moved from subscription only to over the counter.

Leo Burnett won the business for Nexium heartburn treatment following a competitive pitch from its US office, with contributions made by offices in London, Paris and Berlin.

Part of the Publicis Group Leo Burnett also partnered with Publicis Healthcare Communications Group for the pitch.

The appointment comes on top of an existing relationship with Leo Burnett in Taiwan, where it has been the firms creative agency since 2011.
