Maplin appoints WAA for £4.2m marketing account

Maplin has announced the appointment of WAA to handle its £4.2m marketing account, which the agency says was previously held by a roster of agencies.

The first lead agency to be appointed by the brand, WAA will be expected to plan, develop and execute a multi-channel marketing and communications strategy for Maplin.

Agency chief executive Andrew Wilson said: “Maplin is a prestigious business and we are delighted that it has selected WAA to help it amplify its true customer value.”

Maplin chief executive John Cleland added: “Maplin is a fantastic business that needs to ensure that potential customers really understand what it offers and how it differs – WAA demonstrated the perfect track record and creative credentials for that challenge.”

AdConnection remains as the media agency for Maplin.

The ad account was previously, held by Biscuit.
