Tesco is celebrating the launch of the James Bond film Skyfall at its Extra stores in Wembley, Cheshunt, Sandhurst, Hull and Pitsea today.

The shop has updated its fascia to promote the launch of the film.

Ian Ditcham, Tesco category director for electrical and entertainment, said: “Fans and critics alike have hailed Skyfall as the best James Bond film ever and as a result it’s become the mostly eagerly awaited home movie release of all time.

“The launch of a Bond movie, be it in the cinema or as home entertainment, is always a special occasion so we wanted to add our own little celebration by giving some of our stores a touch of 007.”

This is the first time that Tesco has ever altered the name on its storefront fascias although it did add giant green party hats to shop signs at 200 stores at Christmas.
