Twinings is to roll out a new design for its Everyday blend, devised by BrandOpus.

The new design for the Everyday blend aims to make it an ‘everyday’ choice within the Twinings range, the announcement release explained.

“We’re delighted with the glorious brand direction BrandOpus have brought to The Twinings Everyday Tea. The impactful and modern design jumps off the supermarket shelf,” Sam Purton, brand manager at Twinings, commented.

The company has also extended the Everyday range to include four blends: Redbush, Green Tea, Echinacea and Peppermint.

Gotta love a good cuppa, and with Twinings being the choice of Stephen Fry, it's hard not to at least be tempted to add a box to your shopping trolley.

For us, the interesting factor about this rebrand is that other types of tea have been added under the Everyday name, turning it into a varied range. The idea of a tea that can be enjoyed every day was that it was a safe and simple choice, rather than a chance to experiment with different flavours. People can drink anything they like every day, be it peppermint, echinacea or a good old milk-and-two brew, but the name Everyday made it clear that this was Twinings' answer to a PG Tips or Tetley cuppa.

Still, in the end, we all know what we enjoy in our mugs and teacups, so it's not like people are going to get confused over which type to choose. Plus a visual revival is always a good way of reminding people that your brand is still going strong whilst encouraging them to choose it over others.

We often have Yorkshire Tea in the office but we do love a good old rebrand, so maybe this week we'll pick up some Twinings Everyday, with an extra box of Green Tea for those who have actually managed to stick to their New Year's resolution of healthier living.
