Real-time video dating app Flikdate has been unveiled in time for Valentine’s Day providing users a fun, fast and safe way to date straight from their mobile phone.

Flikdate contains no profiles and has been designed with today’s high-speed lifestyle in mind. Sign up takes less than a minute, allowing users to immediately enjoy face-to-face interaction with other users.

The app showcases real people in real time eliminating common online dating concerns of fake profiles or made up facts, app users just get 90 seconds to show off their natural charisma and impress potential partners.

Flikdate creator, Dominika Wolski, who drew inspiration from the Hollywood dating scene for the app, commented: “You can learn more about a person in 30 seconds of talking to them than you would in endless hours reading. We made Flikdate all about those first 30 seconds – so you can sense the ‘chemistry’ of a real conversation through exaggerated online dating profiles.”

Designed with safety in mind, the app does not disclose users personal information, name, phone number of location.

“Flikdate removes all barriers to dating”, says Flikdate CEO Nick Bicanic, “People can flirt to their heart’s desire wherever and whenever they want, but there are rules. We take safety very seriously, and anyone behaving inappropriately can be banned from the service indefinitely with a single tap of the Perv Alert button.”

The app is free to download and use, with certain features requiring in-app currency (called ‘fliks’), during the launch period Flikdate will give users 25 free fliks per day. Additional fliks can be bought at any time.
