Nicolas Roope and Jen McAleer join The Drum Design Awards judging panel on deadline day

The final judges for The Drum Design Awards panel have been confirmed with Poke founder Nicolas Roope and Jen McAleer, managing director of Start JudgeGill coming on board.

Roope has founded a number of major digital companies including Antirom, Poke, Hulger and Plumen, while being widely involved on social media and a frequent contributor to a number of cultural magazines and websites.

McAleer heads up Start JudgeGill, now approaching its 20th year. She joined the agency in 1996, working her way through the ranks, while working with a client range that included brands such as Virgin Group, Marks & Spencer, Costa Coffee, Easyjet and BBC.

The two join a heavyweight panel that already includes Lynda Relph-Knight, former editor of Design Week, Malcolm Garrett, creative director of IMAGES&Co, Adrian Burton , executive creative director of Lambie Nairn, Sue Daun, managing creative director of The Brand Union, Gary Holt , co-founder of Someone, Gion-Men Kruegel-Hanna , global creative director of Imagination, Greg Quinton, executive creative director of The Partners, Domenic Lippa, owner of Pentagram, John Mathers , CEO of The Design Council and James Sommerville, co-founder of ATTIK.

Deadline for entering the awards is today (1 February) with more information available on the Drum Design Awards website. Judging will take place later this month.
