The RBS 6 Nations Live Challenge, a second screen app for fans to use while watching the game, is being re-launched with new features, including the ability to tweet from within the app.

Unveiled in time for the Wales v Ireland game on Saturday, 2 February at 13:30, the app challenges fans to predict the result of penalties, conversions, 5-metre scrums and line outs.

Last year the app, created by Jam and Synergy, was used by an average of 10,000 fans per match.

Dan Beasley, head of mobile at Jam, said: “I’m delighted to be continuing the work from last year - RBS sees the huge value in engaging fans with interactive mobile experiences.

“The new Twitter integration is huge – it allows fans to chat with their mates and keep up with the global rugby conversation without ever leaving the app.”

The app will push out a quiz and visual questions in real time throughout the match via a real-time CMS and a match day editorial team; as well as competition with friends via Facebook.
