Scottish commercial broadcaster STV has closed its jobs website in order ‘to focus on other digital services’.

The jobs website has been down for over a week with a holding page stating: “We are sorry for any inconvenience, we are currently reviewing stvjobs.com and will keep this page updated with our progress.”

A spokesperson for STV told The Drum: "STV Jobs was established as part of our classified business and as a result of the successful growth of our wider digital services, our efforts are now being focused on developing these. We may actively promote the STV Jobs service in the future."

It is understood that no staff changes were made as a result of the decision.

Never understood the rationale for the launch in the first place. stv is an entertainment brand, so where are the digital comemrcial brand extensions that make sense? (holidays, going out, etc.)
