BetVictor has unveiled a new ad campaign – the first to promote the brand’s horse racing offering.

Created by VCCP, the TV ad shows pundit Maurice dressing up like a horse (and a less believable version than the Tesco panto horse stunt, at that) to try and find the best odds on horse racing.

Julian Douglas, deputy MD at VCCP, said: “The Maurice + Victor campaign helped drive excellent growth for BetVictor in 2012. We wanted to leverage this to promote their racing offers. The resulting new ad takes the creative construct to another level and should have great cut through in the market.”

Karl Riley, marketing director at BetVictor, added: “We are hugely excited about launching the next stage of the Maurice and Victor creative concept. We have chosen horse racing as a vehicle because it taps into the rich heritage of our brand and we feel that it will resonate very strongly with our growing customer base. The advert will also showcase the launch of our new App which in turn allows our customers to access BetVictor at home, on the move or wherever they may be.”

Again supporting the ‘Nothing should get in your way’ tagline, the campaign will also include national press and online coverage.
