Iconic motorcycle brand Harley Davidson EMEA has handed its lead creative account to Big.

The Leicester-agency, which takes the reins over from McCann Birmingham from this month, will be tasked with helping to drive sales across the UK and Europe, while growing the brand.

As well as heading up marketing, the agency will also lead creative and design work on a ‘global literature project’ which will help launch the brand’s new motorcycle range in 2014.

The first project will see Big develop a series of integrated pan-European campaigns to promote both brand activity and new motorcycle releases across the EMEA region.

Dylan Bogg, Big’s CEO described Harley-Davidson as “an iconic global brand” and explained that the agency would help celebrate its 110 years as a result of the appointment.

He added that Jamie Heath, who recently joined the agency from McCann Birmingham to help lead the recently opened Bimringham office of Big, would head up the account.

Bogg continued: “Under Jamie, we’ve put together a new account team dedicated to support Harley-Davidson which has a wealth of experience in producing work across global markets and working in multiple languages. To say it’s created a real buzz around the agency is an understatement!”

The Birmingham office for Big opened earlier this month and will be led by both Heath and Stu Perry who has joined from Connect.
