Creative agency Big has expanded to open a new office in the West Midlands, headed up by Jamie Heath from McCann Birmingham and Stu Perry from Connect.

Heath was formerly associate director at McCann Birmingham while Perry was creative director and head of head of design of Connect.

In their new roles, Perry will be creative director at the Birmingham office while Heath will once again be head of account management and will be tasked with leading Big’s growth strategy in the Birmingham area, offering creative and design, planning, PR and social media services.

Dylan Bogg, CEO of Big said that the new office would not act as a satellite office for the agency. “We intend to put a full team in place, with plenty of growth potential, that will enable us to compete in the West Midlands and offer a new, exciting alternative to existing agencies already there. Clearly there are significant opportunities to chase in the West Midlands and for some of these we need to be on the patch.

“We’ve already built an enviable reputation as one of the leading creative agencies outside London, and we’ll be looking to keep creativity at the heart of the new Birmingham agency too. These are exciting times for Big and to be part of The Mission Group, and welcome hearing from anyone in the industry and looking for a new challenge”.

The offices are understood to have begun operating in the first week of January.
