It has been revealed that Maria Luisa Francoli Plaza, global CEO of MPG, is set to step down from her role after almost two decades with the company.

Having joined in 1993, she became chief executive of the Media Planning Group in 2003, before being promoted to global CEO.

First announced in Ad Age, it has been suggested that this move is part of a bigger shake-up at MPG, which will go through a rebrand.

The successor for Plaza’s role has not been announced yet.
