McDonald’s has unveiled its latest campaign created by Leo Burnett promoting its new product, Chicken McBites.

The TV ad, created by Will Thacker and Blake Waters, centres around a single McBite on a napkin surrounded by all sorts of charming doodles depicting the McBite as a meteor landing in a little world where the people revere its arrival.

As the McBite is displayed in the town square, the inhabitants of the little world are suddenly horrified when a giant hand interrupts their celebrations. The owner of the hand is then shown to be a McDonald’s customer enjoying a packet of McBites whilst doodling away on his napkin.

Executive creative director of the campaign was Justin Tindall with Blink’s Zac Emerson directing the ad itself. The doodles and illustrations were handled by Yulian Ojanen and Daniel Sollscher.

As well as the TV campaign McDonalds will be launching an outdoor initiative with food photography by Jason Lowe, and illustrations by Major Briggs.
