Nexus/H appoints Tom Poynter as group managing director

Nexus/H has announced that Tom Poynter, former joint chief executive of iris London, is set to become the group managing director of the full service agency.

Current Group Managing Director Ian Norman will be stepping down this year, handing over responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of the agency to Poynter, who will begin his new role on 1 February.

Poynter said: “Nexus/H is a real out-of-town challenger agency that has strong foundations in marketing communications as well as a talented team that has been built up with maturity over its 40 year history. It comes with an impressive client list spanning Honda, Cunard, Sharp and Dunkin Brands and I look forward to working with all of those clients. With its truly full service offering including integrated strategic planning and media buying, I can't wait to get started to develop the agency for the future and ensure it pushes the boundaries of marketing excellence.”
