Car maker Peugeot has worked with Havas Worldwide London on a major campaign promoting its 'Just Add FuelTM' finance package.

Launching on Christmas Day (Tuesday 25 December), the 'Just Add FuelTM' campaign runs for three months and will appear across major television channels as well as in national and broadsheet newspapers, backed by online activity.

The new campaign aims to show how Peugeot can take the stress out of buying a car and highlights that with Peugeot's 'Just Add FuelTM' finance package consumers do not need to worry about car insurance for three years.

The TV ad, 'Gary's Cat', tells the story of a worried man looking for his missing cat in the pouring rain, before the voiceover comments: "Hang on. You don’t know Gary do you. Well, don’t worry then." The ad then cuts to a couple driving a new Peugeot 208 looking worry-free and explaining the benefits of the 'Just Add FuelTM' package.

Speaking of the campaign, Morgan Lecoupeur Peugeot UK's marketing director, said: "With a unique and highly-attractive product in ‘Just Add FuelTM’ we needed a great idea, with a serious and an amusing aspect, also saluting our ‘Motion & Emotion’ signature, and I think Gary’s Cat will give us the awareness we seek from Christmas Day, as it airs for the first time."

Havas Worldwide London, creative director, Dom Gettins, added: "Hunting through car insurance deals isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time so Peugeot’s ‘Just Add FuelTM’ is a brilliant idea, and we wanted to create an ad that would appeal to people who have better things to do with their lives than worry.”
