Global branding, overlay and production group Icon and retail display specialist McKenzie Clark have cemented their relationship following a successful partnership this summer by uniting to become the UK’s largest branding implementation agency.

Both part of Chime Communications PLC’s sport and entertainment division, the united companies will continue to work on core client opportunities within the UK with plans to capitalise on Chime’s growing global network and Icon’s existing international centres.

Plans to fully integrate the two businesses are already underway with an all-encompassing site, which will house an upgraded production facility, studio and office functions, being actively sought within the south-east section of the M25 area.

At this time the companies will focus on ensuring staff from across the organisations are retained and engaged with the merger, along with a commitment to investment in the very latest technology to increase both the quality and capacity of the projects the new partnership will be able to handle.

Icon MD John Francis, commented: “We’ve effectively been a partnership since the beginning of 2011, but the physical bringing together of the two companies will really show dividends for our customers and staff alike, with a wider skill set, enhanced technology and an even greater range of experience on offer.”

MD of McKenzie Clark, Graham Clark, added: “The synergy between the two businesses is huge and there are exciting and immense opportunities to build on the success of both companies' high profile and highly successful summer projects. Combining complimentary skills, knowledge and services will benefit clients in all market sectors bringing greater efficiency and innovation.”

The two management teams will now combine to undertake the gradual process of consolidation.
