MSN releases new celebrity channel to target female audience

MSN has launched a new section of its web portal entitled MSN Celebrity featuring celebrity news, features, opinions and gossip.

Targeting the female 25-34 year old market, MSN Celebrity is now live in 16 markets worldwide including the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Turkey and Russia.

The new section of the site offers advertisers direct content with a lucrative market giving them the opportunity to associate their brands with the glamour and novelty of this section which is expected to receive some 380 million views per month.

Mike Lok, MSN International solutions manager at Microsoft, said of the site: “MSN Celebrity is a multimarket destination focused on celebrities, delivering exclusive up-to the minute content to millions of users across Europe.

“Advertisers have a unique new opportunity to reach the young and predominantly female audience, via immersive content and exciting ad formats such as homepage takeovers and advertorial – with the latter in particular making use of MSN’s editorial strength.”
