NeverSeconds blogger Martha Payne recognised at CIPR PRide Awards Scotland 2012

Martha Payne, the nine-year-old who’s blog featuring pictures of her school lunch, which her council tried to ban, has been named Inspiring Communicator of the Year at the CIPR Scotland PRide Awards.

Payne was awarded the title at the awards, which took place at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, for her blog NeverSeconds which posted pictures of her school lunches, leading to complaints from canteen staff, and also an improvement in the quality of the food.

Meanwhile, the Scottish Government won three gold awards for campaigns such as The Gift of Life, My Prison and My Marriage, while Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy of the Year went to Stripe.
