Leo Burnett appoints Josh Bullmore as head of planning

Marketing agency Leo Burnett has announced the promotion of Josh Bullmore to head of planning for the UK group, augmenting his existing responsibility for Comms planning across the group..

Bullmore has been with Leo Burnett since 2009, after joining from digital agency Profero, and has worked with leading brands such as Audi, BA, Canon and Microsoft.

Bullmore began his career as a trainee at Bates Dorland working on campaigns for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Prime Minister’s Strategic Communications Unit before joining the digital agency GT in 2004 as head of planning and moving again to M&C Saatchi in 2006.

Since joining Leo Burnett Bullmore has been involved in a succession of government and consumer campaigns, notably the Department for Transport’s Think! Campaign, the Bacardi Group and freeview.

Giles Hedger, Leo Burnett’s Group Managing Director & Chief Strategy Officer, says: “I have known since I hired him in 2009 that Josh has Dalai Lama qualities, and I am delighted that the time has now come for the agency to feel their full effect."

Bullmore added: “I’m delighted to be appointed as Head of Planning. This is a big department full of exciting planning personalities. We’re going to make our mark on 2013.”
