The winner of our worst ad this week is this extraordinary effort from jewellery company Clogau - although you'd struggle to tell who or what the ad is for judging by its content (brought to you in lovely 80s soft focus).

Please don't watch this just before going to bed or you may find that its cheese content gives you nightmares. And what's the pause button all about? It makes it look like the sequences have been shamelessly ripped from a programme on the Hallmark channel on a Sky Plus box.

If Clogau's campaign has left you with more questions than answers, thankfully all is explained in a handy behind the scenes guide on the brand's website: "Storytelling through beautiful jewellery is at the very heart of Clogau. The Clogau Fairytale TV campaign tells many stories; the wonderful and unique brand history, the inspiration behind our jewellery and the pure magic of gifting and wearing these beautiful keepsakes."

So now we know.
