The Civil Service Benevolent Fund has announced its change of name and brand identity to The Charity for Civil Servants, as handled by The Team.

The new name and strapline - For You, By You – were designed to help civil servants appreciate that the charity primarily receives most of its income from donations and fundraising, with limited funding direct from government.

Andy James, director of fundraising and communications, said: “We are delighted with the impact that the new identity has had and the response from the civil servants has been outstanding. The “For You, By You” device has proved to be particularly effective, as it brings absolute clarity to our proposition.”

Peter Mills, strategic planning director at The Team, said: “Research shows that donations to charities are on the decline, but charities that connect and engage more effectively with their donors, volunteers and beneficiaries can see improved revenues and increased use of their services. We are convinced that ideas worth creating are worth creating together, and through our work, such as with The Charity for Civil Servants, we continue to show a compelling case for co-creation.”
