Ballantine's global advertising account awarded to M&C Saatchi by Chivas Brothers
The global advertising account for Scotch whisky brand Ballantine’s has been handed to M&C Saatchi.
The move from Publicis, which follows a four-month-review, will see M&C Saatchi tasked with strengthening the brand position, with a particular focus on new activation across Spain, France, Korea, Latin America, Poland and Russia.
The account will be run out of the London office of M&C Saatchi, working alongside local teams in key market areas.
Eric Benoist, international marketing director for Chivas Brothers, said that the appointment of M&C Saatchi to the Ballantine’s account stemmed from its ability to demonstrate ‘considered, strategic thinking,’ as well as an ‘insightful approach to creative work'.
Despite the appointment, it is understood that parent company Chivas Brothers will continue to work with Publicis on marketing for Beefeater Gin and The Glenlivet.
