Travel comparison website KAYAK has appointed Robert Goldsmith to the role of UK senior sales manager, as part its wider strategy to develop its European business.

Prior to joining KAYAK, Goldsmith worked with international travel website Cheapflights where he handled online advertising for the brand across a number of platforms, working with clients such as BA, Opodo and STA Travel.

Speaking of the appointment, Goldsmith commented: ““KAYAK’s potential for growth in the UK and across Europe is something that attracted me to the role. KAYAK is a household name within North America and as part of my role I’ll be aiming to replicate this across Europe.”

UK managing director of KAYAK, Annie Wilson, added: “Robert brings with him a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that will add remarkable value to the UK business as we focus on development. We are really pleased to welcome him on board.”
