Charity water brand Thirsty Planet has undergone a packaging and branding refresh courtesy of Thompson Brand Partners.

Owned and operated by Water Brands Group, Thirsty Planet is dedicated to bringing clean water to communities across rural Africa in partnership with charity Pump Aid. Since its launch five years ago Thirsty Planet has raised in excess of £1.5 million which has enabled Pump Aid to provide over 8,000 water pumps, bringing clean, safe water to those who need it most.

Thompson Brand Partners was tasked with reviewing the clarity of the brand's messaging, before designing new packaging for the consumer range. The new design and image hopes to better reflect the brand and tell the story of the impact each donation has.

Thirsty Planet now displays a tweaked logo, new type, updated messaging and new illustrations to better appeal to the target audience. The design will be rolled out across 330ml, 500ml and 1.5l variants, multipacks and the brands children’s range, a new restaurant range which is currently in development will also feature the new branding.

Rachel Cook, Thompson account manager, commented: “We have known the owners of Thirsty Planet for some time, and have been great supporters of the work they do, and the clear, accountable way that they operate.

"We’re really proud to work with them, and to be able to use our design expertise for such a worthwhile cause, to communicate the difference each bottle makes.”
