Obama wins ‘tweet of the week’ award: you decide who wins from now on
The Golden Twits are now open for entries, and The Drum is celebrating by choosing a ‘tweet of the week’ until the week ending 9 December.
Barack Obama would have been a clear winner for the first Golden Twit’s ‘tweet of the week’ award, with his ‘Four more years’ tweet on 7 November receiving over 800,000 retweets.
The tweet, which featured a picture of Obama hugging his wife, was also favourited almost 300,000 times.
It should be noted that the tweet was, in fact, not actually written by Obama himself, as it did not have the ‘bo’ sign off he uses on the tweets he posts on the Twitter page himself.
What do you think should win this week’s first tweet of the week award? Let us know using #tweetoftheweek.
