Cogent Elliott has revealed to The Drum that it has appointed Mick Foden to the role of senior copywriter.

Having worked at agencies such as JWT, WCRS and TBWA Manchester, Foden is set to begin his new role on 20 November.

He said: “It’s clear that I’m joining an ambitious organisation that prides itself on inventive, integrated solutions. These are the kind of values that would motivate any creative professional, so it’s no wonder I can’t wait to get to work with Cogent’s fantastic client base.”

Foden will work alongside creative director Mark Lindley on automotive clients for the agency, including Jaguar, Land Rover and Triumph.

Mike Phillipson, Cogent Elliott CEO, said: “As we increasingly apply holistic communications expertise to meet our clients’ commercial challenges, we choose to invest in appointing experienced and versatile people. Mick’s arrival is a great illustration of this approach.

“With the track record that Mick has in copywriting, there is no doubt he’ll make an immediate impact on our creative offer and enhance our ability in building our clients’ businesses.”
