Specialist in e-books, apps and games for primary school-aged children Gazoob has worked with Staffordshire-based Lesniak Swann to design and develop its website and e-commerce platform.

Created by independent games developer Rebellion after it spotted a gap in the education market, Gazoob launched in September of this year to coincide with the start of the new school year. In the UK Gazoob has already developed the Read with Biff, Chip and Kipper series by Oxford University Press into interactive e-books. As Gazoob plans to expand its product portfolio the website design needed to attract not only customers but also new publishers and developers.

Lesniak Swann first of all designed and built a brochure website promoting the Gazoob brand and defining the product offering. The agency then extended the site to allow for the delivery of apps, allowing customers to directly purchase the products on offer.

The main site was launched in time for the start of the school year, with the e-commerce platform built into the site in the last week to fit with the release of the Read with Biff, Chip and Kipper app on iTunes and Intel’s AppUp app store.

Andrew Clarke, executive producer at Gazoob, commented: “Having an effective website is essential to an all-digital operation such as ours. The site that Lesniak Swann designed is flexible and extensible as we don’t know in detail how our needs will evolve in the future.

“I’m very happy that we have this. The level of service we’ve received is exemplary, being able to talk directly with the person doing the work makes my job so much easier.”
