Toy retailer The Entertainer has announced the launch of its new transactional website, created in collaboration by Red Ant and neoworks, as it aims to increase its multichannel functionality.

The new site was developed and built by neoworks based on the hybris Multichannel Suite, with user experience designed by Red Ant.

Duncan Grant, director of multi-channel at The Entertainer, said: “We’ve brought together a collection of ‘best-of-breed’ partners to deliver The Entertainer’s multichannel vision.”

The new site includes proactive order tracking and the ability to order online and collect in store 30 minutes later.

Dan Mortimer, CEO at Red Ant, said: “We’ve been able to deliver a first-class site with a user journey focused on customer needs, allowing The Entertainer to consolidate its position as a multichannel retailer. It’s a triumph for teamwork across all digital disciplines.”

Nick Vincent, director at neoworks, added: “Being able to work with the Entertainer to take their e-commerce solution to the next level; a combination of the hybris platform, the Entertainer's team and neoworks' expertise in software development, will provide a best of breed solution which will act as the benchmark not just in the toy industry, but to the wider e-commerce community.”
