Windows 8 has unveiled a gigantic slide inside Bluewater, in a campaign conceived by Jam to make it ‘fast and fun’ for consumers to get their hands on the new product.

Slice handled the experiential build of the slide, while Jam built a backend platform that takes photos of every slider, prints them to take away and also pushes the images to digital, mobile and social channels, including RAM Vision’s 21 square metre indoor LED screen.

Adrian Hopper, media operations director at RAM Vision, said: “The event highlights the important role that digital out of home plays in product launches, promotional and experiential campaigns and advertising. This is a great combination of the impact of the two disciplines and is a brilliant example of usage of the screen at Bluewater, one of the biggest iconic displays in UK shopping centres.”

Alex Miller, CEO of Jam, added: “Microsoft’s newest campaign encourages the public to do something ‘fast and fun’ and what could fit the bill better than a giant slide?

“The activation itself is designed with social mobile at its core. Reach can be amplified through the big screen, broadcasting to the whole centre.”

The event launched today, and will run until 4 November.
