The Telegraph has announced the launch of a paywall outside of the UK, with users to be able to see 20 articles for free a month before a subscription is needed.

The newspaper has said that it is aiming to build upon its "strong international presence" with the move, by including options for a £1.99 a month digital pack allowing web access, or a £9.99 pack which also provides access to both the daily and Sunday iPad editions.

For both of these options, users will be able to try a month for free before subscribing.

The newspaper did, however, insist "there are currently no plans to introduce a meter model for UK readers".
