MediaVest London wins Travelodge account

Travelodge has awarded the multi-million pound UK Travelodge account to MediaVest London.

The account win from Carat UK will see MediaVest create and execute the media strategy for the brand as well as lead the performance marketing and digital activity for the hotel chain.

The appointment strengthens the brands recent focus on digital with MediaVest tasked to transform Travelodge’s digital business and drive brand reappraisal around customer experience.

In 2013, Travelodge plans to increase investment in digital channels and plans to take new market share from the competition as part of an aggressive growth strategy.

Sales and marketing director for Travelodge, Catriona Kempston, commented: “We are very excited to be working with MediaVest. As a pioneering agency they have built a heritage of digital innovation and industry firsts. We are an established online retailer of sleep and by utilising MediaVest’s vast expertise our aim is to take our business into new consumer territories and steal market share from our competitors.”

The Travelodge account is to be headed up by Kirsty Barnes Spickett.
