Bil Bungay, one of the co-founders of BMB, has gotten into the Halloween spirit by hosting a mass ‘exorcism’ at a cinema which he claimed was haunted by evil spirits.

The respected adman and now filmmaker attributed a number of bizarre happenings around the theatre to the screening of his latest flick, When The Lights Went Out, which depicts demonic possession, the poster for which graces the cover of this week’s edition of The Drum.

Coincidentally two early screenings of the film were hit by blackouts but rather than call an electrician or the Ghostbusters, Bungay plumped for his local priest.

Bungay said: "It was one thing to put the first power failure down to a bit of bad luck.

"But to move cinemas and have exactly the same thing happen 20 minutes into the movie when the evil presence is first felt was beyond coincidence, and has caused much concern for the production."
