Wakefield’s flagship shopping centre Trinity Walk has unveiled its integrated Halloween-themed campaign from Banana Kick.

The three-week awareness campaign, entitled ‘Spooked at Trinity Walk’ has aimed to promote a programme of Halloween-themed events through local press and radio as well as online banners and an outdoor campaign using poster sites throughout Wakefield.

Banana Kick won the account after a pitch in September. The agency’s account manager Jordan Madrick explained how they fulfilled the brief: “To coincide with half term we worked with Trinity Walk and their retailers to devise a programme of events for families that make the most of the facilities at the shopping centre.

These range from a dance class where children and parents can practice their monstrous moves to a grisly demonstration by the local hospital’s pathology lab!”

Commenting on the campaign, Katherine Busby, Trinity Walk’s marketing and retail liaison manager said: “We’ve been really impressed with the way Banana Kick have managed the ‘Spooked’ promotion – delivering an uplift on footfall like for like against 2012.

“Trinity Walk is key family destination for the local community, so events like Halloween are really important. With ‘Spooked’, Banana Kick has delivered a great promotion that has delivered on all levels.”
