Tom Goodfellow has been named as sales and marketing manager at Carlowrie Castle, a Baronial castle and 32-acre estate on the edge of Edinburgh.

Goodfellow brings with him 22 years of experience in the hospitality, tourism and leisure industry in the UK and New Zealand. During his career Goodfellow has held a number of senior sales positions with Fairmont St Andrews, The Edinburgh Conference Centre, and St Andrews Bay Golf Resort and Spa amongst others.

In his new role Goodfellow will report directly to Carlowrie Castle general manager, Ian Muckett, and will be responsible for helping to establish the Carlowrie brand and implement sales and client management procedures.

Speaking of the appointment, Muckett, said: “Tom brings a wealth of marketing and operations experience to the role and his appointment comes at an important time for Carlowrie Castle.

“The property has been in family hands for nearly 160 years, the restoration and redevelopment is near completion and early next year marks its launch as an exclusive, high end retreat for corporate use, weddings or private hire.”

Goodfellow added: “It is an extremely exciting time to be joining the team and I’m looking forward to embracing the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”
