The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario has got into the Halloween mood with its latest ad 'The Undeading', which shows that zombies know CPR…and they’re not afraid to use it.

The ad, by Agency59, is based on the premise that people need to be alive for zombies to eat them, so zombies are for resuscitation, in order to keep their food source alive.

The ad features the tagline "CPR makes you undead” – which turns out to be doubly true for the main character in this unusual public service announcement.

Brian Howlett, Agency59 chief creative officer, said: "We wanted to bring a bit of sly humour into the zombie genre…and the client didn't change a word."

This comes as the Heart & Stroke Foundation tried to break the world record for CPR training today, 25 October.
