Chimney firm drops identity after 40 years with Ideafuel rebrand

Newark-based chimney manufacturer A1 Flue Systems has seen its turnover increase by £1m following a successful rebranding exercise carried out by Gainsborough creative agency Ideafuel.

Ideafuel was called in to overhaul the brand that the leading chimney manufacturer has been using since it was founded nearly 40 years ago. A1 Flue Systems, which has hit its £12m turnover target this year, wanted the new brand identity to reflect its position as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of commercial, industrial and domestic chimney, flue and exhaust systems.

The inspiration for the new brand identity by Ideafuel was a blueprint drawing of the top elevation of a chimney flue and this has been rolled out across all of the company’s marketing materials, including its website, stationery and brochures.

Senior Manager at A1 Flue Systems, TJ Moir, said that the business had long-since outgrown its old company logo and recognised a brand overhaul would help it make significant strides forward, adding: “Our new brand is fantastic and it’s had such a positive impact throughout the business – especially the way it has contributed towards the increase in our turnover.”
