Rovi, the cloud based interactive advertising platform, has announced that Sony has become the latest firm to sign up for the Rovi Advertising Network to deliver consumer campaigns across the UK, Germany and Italy.

The Smart TV ad network will deliver campaigns direct to connected TVs and Blu-ray disc players with Rovi enabling and delivering the advertising space. These messages are delivered whilst viewers are searching for programming and before content plays, with Rovi assisting in the development of creative content.

Graphics and videos, as well as advanced functionality such as RFI options, Click-to-Call, and Social Media can all be incorporated to increase engagement

Jeff Siegel, senior vice president, Worldwide Advertising, at Rovi Corporation said: “Sony is a household brand and a leading manufacturer of connected TV devices, so they are a notable addition to the Rovi Advertising Network in Europe, which is already generating millions of meaningful impressions for advertisers on a weekly basis.

“We are happy to help increase Sony’s advertising revenue stream, while at the same time increasing our unique scale and inventory in the region, which will enable more brands to effectively reach TV viewers.”
