Video game retailer Gamestation is set to close its website at the beginning on next week, as it gears up to ingrate with sister brand GAME.

The gamestation website will close on 29 October, with accounts transferred over to Game’s website, under the Game Retail banner.

Pre-orders for games, consoles and accessories will also be transferred over, with the company promising that ‘no disruption’ will occur in the process, while Elite XP points and achievements will also move across to the new GAME Reward scheme.

The Elite card will also continue to work in-store and online, while the GAME Reward Card will work on smartphones through the store’s new app, which will be available on both Android and iOS platforms from the end of the month.

“We'd like to thank you for being a great customer over the years, and we've truly enjoyed delivering the best in gaming to each and every one of you. Happy gaming!” concluded the statement.
