BT to roll out new sports channel having poached Boxnation chief exec Simon Green
BT is to launch a new sports channel, headed up by Simon Green, chief executive of Boxnation.
Green, who was previously head of UK channels at Satanta and general manager of Sky Sports Ventures, will oversee the BT Sport output, which will include the Premier League broadcasting rights.
Green will report to Marc Watson, chief executive of the BT Vision.
The Guardian reports that a pitch process is underway to appoint a TV production services company, with ITV said to be among the competitors.
