Food North Wales has appointed Weber Shandwick to handle its consumer PR brief, following the agency’s completion of a range of tasks which ended in a competitive pitch.

The team will promote North Wales as a destination to find some of the best food offerings in the UK.

Jo Leah, managing director of Weber Shandwick North, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Food North Wales; this is an exciting campaign to undertake as we look to shape North Wales into a recognised destination for people across the UK who are really passionate about food.”

Dewi Davies, marketing manager of Food North Wales, added: “I’m really excited to be working with the team at Weber Shandwick. I felt that they really understood what Food North Wales wants to achieve, and have come up with some great ideas to grow and support the campaign. I look forward to a successful relationship with Weber Shandwick and hope that together we can put North Wales as a recognised food haven on the map.”

A new website for Food North Wales is set to launch this autumn.
