Air New Zealand has announced the appointment of Joint to handle project work in United Kingdom and Germany; as it moves from a retainer agency model to a project-led approach.

Joint’s core brief is to create a cross-channel brand response campaign to support the carrier’s service between London Heathrow and Los Angeles.

John Wilhelm, brand manager for Western markets, said: “Joint offers a tremendous wealth of strategic and creative expertise across their four founding partners with a start-up mentality and a like-minded nimble approach to their business model.

“Albion has done a great job in helping us to bring to life the fun, liberating side of our brand in our local market campaigns and we’ll be looking to build on that innovative spirit in our work with Joint.”

Draftfcb remains Air New Zealand’s lead agency in their home market of New Zealand, while Draftfcb San Francisco was recently appointed to handle North America.
