Protec International, the supplier of temporary protection products for the construction industry, has appointed Rare Creative Group to oversee its marketing strategy, branding and communications.

Rare’s first project has seen it develop a campaign to launch Protect ZipDoor in the UK, a product which can contain dust kicked up during renovation and home improvements through installation of a built-in zipper door for tradesmen.

Utilising a tongue in cheek ‘Man Up’ theme the campaign highlights the reduced cleaning-up job required via a series of trade-show demonstrations, literature and coverage on the Protec website.

A competition offering customers the chance to ‘get dirty’ courtesy of a rally driving experience are also being introduced to support the launch.

Darren Moore, managing director at Protec International, said: “We understand the importance for us to extend our presence, both on and offline, to reach potential customers requiring temporary protection solutions across the spectrum, from large construction projects to individual renovation and home improvement applications.

“We chose Rare because of their proven track record with other construction and building products brands and because their initial ideas demonstrated a clear understanding of our business objectives and audiences.”
