The nominations are now live for MiAwards 2012 and more than 50 marketing services agencies across the UK are set to fight it out for awards which recognise great marketing businesses and great marketing strategy.

Now in its fourth year, MiAwards is the awards scheme organised by MiNetwork, the network of almost 100 marketing services agency owners, and aims to give some of the UK’s most ambitious marketing agencies the opportunity to show that not only that they are great at delivering ROI for their clients, but that they are also well run businesses in their own right.

Judging took place in Manchester earlier this month with Annerie Hughes of Virgin Trains, Shirley Marguerite of Rosetta Stone, Kate Dixon of BA, Steve Antoniewicz of the RAR, Jason Spencer of ITV, former Momentum CEO Brian Rees, former DDB CEO Peter Croome and former McCann Erickson Manchester CEO Brian Child on the judging panel.

Speaking of this year’s awards Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, said: “MiAwards gives agency owners the opportunity to prove that they are great businesses in their own right, not only creating and delivering great work for their clients, but creating profit that enables them to grow, expand and offer staff a great working environment. I’m delighted to see so many MiNetwork members involved in MiAwards and wish them all luck on awards night in November, which I can assure all nominees will be a night not to miss.”

Agencies contesting the Business Categories this year, which includes accolades such as Digital Agency of the Year, Advertising Agency of the Year and PR Consultancy of the Year include: 7thingsmedia, 9xb, Banana Kick, Beautiful Productions, Chapter, Circle Research, Code Computerlove, Epiphany, Fifth Ring, Heehaw Digital, IAS b2b Marketing, Intermarketing, Orange Bus, Refinery, Shout Digital, The Fresh Group, If agency, Thinking Juice, Uniform and many others.

The Marketing Services categories, which include categories such as Best B2C Strategy or Campaign, Best Mobile Marketing Strategy and Best Consumer Insight, were also hotly contested during the judging day that took place in Manchester on Wednesday 3rd October, but not surprisingly the Best Social Media Strategy or Campaign gave judges that hardest task, with ten nominations making it through in the end.
