Footage from a 1970’s BBC gameshow has emerged, proving that Freddie Starr did appear on screen alongside one of his alleged victims, 14 year old Karin Ward.

The clip was taken from Jimmy Savile hosted show ‘Clunk Click’ and undermines Starr’s denial that he had ever met the girl on the show.

Speaking to Channel 4 News Starr’s lawyer said he: “cannot be expected to recollect every show that he has appeared on and to remember every person that he has ever met.

“In respect of Karin Ward this was not a name that Freddie could remember and therefore had no recollection of meeting her.”

The lawyer added: “However, this does not detract away from the fact that Freddie vigorously denies the awful allegation that has been made by Karin Ward, which despite this footage is still totally unsupported and uncorroborated by any other evidence."

Ward claimed she had been ‘horribly, horribly humiliated’ by Starr’s ‘wandering hands’ when she was a teenager.

Starr strenuously denies the allegations however, stating: "I've only met Jimmy Savile maybe twice. He came to see me with his mother at one of my shows. I always thought he was a flash bastard, but I wanted to meet him before I cast aspersions on his character.”
