YouTube announces introduction of over 60 original channels

Youtube has announced a slew of fresh partnerships with major content creators, celebrities and online stars for the launch of 60 new and original channels.

The content covers a wealth of categories including food, health/wellness, parenting, sports, music, comedy, animation and news, and augment 100 existing dedicated channels.

Amongst the 21 channels to become available to UK viewers in the months ahead are Fast, Funny & Furious, described as ‘all the things you wanted to do on four wheels but never had the guts, or insurance to do!’ produced by from Zodiak Media Company Bullseye and Zodiak Active.

It will be joined by the likes of Huha from ChannelFlip, a series of comedic cartoons for grown-ups.

Robert Kyncl, global head of content for YouTube said: "Some of the most successful formats on TV come from Europe. The expansion of original channels in Europe allows more content creators of all stripes, from top producers to talented up-and-comers, to build their audiences all over the world."
