STV has announced the launch of the STV Player app on Apple App Store and Google Play, allowing users to watch 30 days of catch-up including programmes such as Downton Abbey, X Factor and Scotland Tonight.
Alistair Brown, chief technology and platforms officer at STV, said: “STV is committed to making its wealth of content available free of charge to consumers anytime, anywhere.
“STV’s digital channels already attract over 3 million unique users per month and we anticipate this will continue to rise as the STV Player App on Android and iOS further enhances STV’s multi-channel offering.”
The app will allow users to search for programmes, access A - Z and category listings and browse recommended, recent and popular STV programmes.
