Intel Corporation has teamed up with David Blaine for his latest stunt ‘Electrified’ which sees Blaine standing upon a 20-foot-high platform at Pier 54 in New York surrounded by 1 million volts of electricity for three days and three nights this weekend.

‘Electrified’ is part of The Ultrabook Experience initiative from Intel that features collaborations with innovative brands, artists, designers and entertainers.

Of the collaboration Blaine commented: “Intel is giving me the opportunity to perform the most daring thing I’ve ever done and has created a way to bring different people from all walks of life on to a global stage.”

Not content with the performance itself in New York Intel is also setting up special Ultrabook stations in Beijing, Sydney, Tokyo and London to enable fans to interact with the electricity and metallic orbs that stream electricity around the Blaine.

Intel’s vice president of partner marketing, Johan Jervoe, added: “This project draws inspiration from the history and inextricable link between technology, science and magic.

“The Ultrabook stations around the globe give people the ability to create and spread the power of this global phenomenon.”
